I'm not sure what medicin your on but thrush infections are common in people whith high blood sugar. Oral thrush may also be a side effect of antibiotic treatment - since antibiotics kill off good bacteria as well as infection, resulting in an imbalance in the body's naturally occurring flora. Thrush is also common in people who suffer from anemia or have hormone related disorders.

Mary's right. It's antibiotics that are the worst offenders.
If you're taking an antibiotic, then make sure you use a probiotic
and top on the amount of yoghurt you eat. This will help to counter
the damaging effects your medication.
