Daktarin Oral Cream

This type of medication is only suitable for fungal infections of the mouth and throat. Daktarin Oral gel is an effective treatment for fungal infections in and around the mouth like Oral Thrush.The core anti fungal component is Miconazole which works to kill fungal and associated bacterial infections of the mouth and throat.

Treatment consists of:

Adults - 1-2 spoonfuls of gel 4 times a day.

Children under 2 years - half a spoonful of gel twice daily.

2-6 years: 1 spoonful of gel twice daily.

6 years and above: 1 spoonful of gel 4 times daily.

For treating localised areas of infection in the mouth, a small amount of Daktarin oral gel may be applied directly to the affected area with a clean finger. Daktarin oral gel can also be taken to treat fungal infections of the intestines.
